Sync is a part of Nivio online desktop which enable you to create a copy of your own desktop onto Nivio Online Desktop and keep the files synchronized. The Main use of Sync is to transfer huge number of files lying on your system and you need to create a backup to retrieve later when you feel so. You can also upload specific files you need instant access to without carrying them on external data storage devices like Pen drive, Hard Drive, floppy, CD etc. Nivio sync is unique as it gives you an option to automatically synchronize all your files and folders between personal and online desktops through scheduler. Open the browser IE or Mozilla. Type in the web address URL (http://www.nivio.com) the below shown window will be opened. To download the nivioSync, go toGet nivioSync and then click on Download Now button.

If you scroll down on the store page then you will see ‘How to install’ and then ‘Download Sync’ icon. You can follow those steps to Install Sync on your PC. Just in case if you feel like uninstalling it follow the simple process mentioned below.

Go to Start. Click on Program files. Click on ‘Nivio’ and then ‘Uninstall Sync’

After installing you will find the sync in two ways

Step 1.	Sync creates a desktop shortcut which is easy to find on the desktop. Click and start using.
Step 2.	Go to Start. Click on Program files. Click on ‘Nivio’ and then ‘Sync’.

	You need to use the same username and password which you use to login to Nivio.

	Enter the valid Userid and password. Click on ok.

1.	Transfer: This is the default screen in standard view. If you need to transfer for the first time without any filtration. All your files folders will be transferred and saved exactly as they are present in your own PC. This will ease your task to search your files while using the Online desktop.

	Drag and Drop: Another option to transfer files on Nivio desktop by simply selecting files folders, dragging and dropping them in the box.
2.	Synchronize: Nivio gives you option to keep data in different folder based on your use for e.g. Office, Home, Music, Movies etc. Once you create the folder on Sync assign the desired folder on your PC which has to be synchronized regularly.
3.	Once done first time you just have to select the folder and click Synchronize to make your online desktop up to date with your PC.

6.	Scheduler: Assign task to Sync to automatically Sync after the duration you select. Just give your credentials to carry out the request.

	Click on ‘My Computer’. You will get the below window. Choose your folder and files from left bar. In the middle bar you can make select and unselect your selected files for transfer. In the right bar you can view the preview by selecting the file from right hand side shown files.

	Once selected it looks like the below screen where you have option to select/deselect and preview the selections too. To view the preview select the file from the right bar.Once selected press ‘Transfer’.


	The files are being selected before starting the transfer in the below window.


	Files get listed and shows update simultaneously. Once transferred you will see the below screen.

	Click on ‘My Nivio Account’ and you will see a screen as below. You will all your files accessing through Middle Bar. Once selected, press transfer to download the data to your computer. They will get saved in the same location similar to where you have it on your online desktop.

After installing you will find the sync in two ways

	‘Drag & Drop’ as also another option to transfer your data to Nivio Online desktop in simpler manner. Click on Drag & Drop to see the below screen.

	Now drag any file placed on your computer into this box and will get listed to be transferred. Isn’t it easy?

	Press Transfer to proceed for Transferring it and it will be uploaded to your online desktop.

	Now let’s see what we have in store for you in advanced view. To change standard view to advanced view click on ‘to advanced view’.

	Here you can find My Computer and My Nivio Account tree together. Select the files/folders either from My Computer or from My Nivio Account. Click on Transfer. This gives you a single platform to transfer files between Nivio Online desktop and your PC.

	It is used to transfer multiple folders by making sync groups.
	Enter sync group name.

	Press Next

	Click on add folders and select from My Computer/My Nivio account.


	You have option to either select all files or to filter out as per extensions or date of modification in the documents. Press next.

	Press next.
	Once you move forward Sync will take your consent on conflict policy to avoid any conflicts in keeping the correct file.

	Press Create

	Click on Sync now to synchronize this particular group. If you have created more than one group and you want all folders to be synchronized then click on ‘Sync All’. +Create Group is to create new sync group.
