Registration is FREE; we allow our customers, a free trial package for 30 days. "FREE TRIAL" means a limited time use of Nivio services at no cost. You have to fill in some details, such as user name, password and e-mail address for the registration process.
 
After registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, which consists of an activation link. Click on the activation link for the confirmation of your free trial account. Within 30 minutes after confirmation of the activation link of your account, you will receive an e-mail saying your account is now live and you're ready to test Nivio.
 
After 30 days, you will receive an e-mail for the continuation of your Nivio Account as a paid subscriber. "Paid Nivio Member", "Paid User" or "Paid Subscriber" means a user who use Nivio services for a subscription fee.
 
 
To access your Nivio Account, visit the Nivio website www.nivio.com and click the login button on any page to bring up the login form. Enter your Username and Password to log in. If you have forgotten your password, click on the Forgotten Password link to get your password back via e-mail.
 
Nivio Interface is the main screen area that you see after you log-on to Nivio. Like the top of a physical desk, it serves as a platform for your work. When you open programs or folders, they appear on the desktop. You can also put things on the desktop, such as files and folders, and arrange them however you want.

At the bottom of Nivio desktop you will find the taskbar. It shows you what programs are running and allows you to switch between them. It also contains the Start button; it is used to access programs, applications and settings. Icons are small pictures that represent files, folders, programs, and other items.

When you first Log-in to Nivio, you'll see three icons on your desktop: Recycle Bin, My Documents and Internet Explorer. Double-clicking a desktop icon starts or opens the item it represents. For example, double-clicking the Internet Explorer icon starts Internet Explorer. Nivio simplifies tasks - ability to add and run applications, store documents, share photos and music. This makes Nivio Desktop a user friendly Desktop.
 
   
  After adding an application, see the icon of the application on your Desktop also in your NivioCentre.
   
  Running an application on nivio desktop is same to that on windows desktop. There are two ways to run an application. Firstly go to start menu, click on programs and choose the application you want to use. Click on the application to run it. Second option is to run the application by double clicking on the icon of the application on Nivio Desktop.
   
  You can view your data files in My Documents folder, by default all the data files get stored in My Documents. You can rename, move, copy and delete the file / folder from My Documents. Choose the file location from My Documents/ Desktop, select the file / folder use the file and folder tasks bar for conducting the task(s).
   
  Printer Settings on Nivio - Nivio automatically detects your local printer and make it a default printer. Local printer (default) is a printer which is attached to your personal computer / laptop / mobile via LAN or wireless. Click on the start menu on Nivio Desktop then click on settings button to view the printer settings.
   
  To delete a file / folder, select the file / folder then use Delete button for deleting a file. When you delete a file / folder, it doesn't actually get deleted right away-it goes to the Recycle Bin. That's a good feature, because if you ever change your mind and decide to recover / retrieve your deleted file, you can get it back. For permanent deletion, first select the file then use Shift and Delete button simultaneously.
   
  End a Nivio session (Logging out) is done by clicking on the start menu then click on logoff button. This will end your Nivio session. Next time you to log-in, you have to open www.nivio.com for logging in.
 
The NivioCentre acts as a Control Panel which allows you to administer your Nivio account. You can access the NivioCentre by double clicking on NivioCentre icon on Nivio Desktop.
NivioCentre is handled by three main headings Home, My Account and Shop in the NivioCentre Taskbar.
 
 
Home
This is a summary of your Nivio account - Click on Home section to view your account information, see what's New in the shop, or quickly view the most common help topics.
 
My Account
This section of NivioCentre gives you the functionality of
  Editing and updating your personal details.
  Managing Storage Space (Adding).
  Adding / removing applications.
  Viewing Invoices (Billing).
  Top-up for adding credits in your account.
 
Shop
  Search / Browse for applications.
  Add / Remove applications.
 
 
Nivio provides a feature for managing your profile..
 
View and Update personal details :
 
In My account section, click on the view profile button. Click the edit all button to be gin editing your personal details. Once you're done editing, click update profile to save your changes.
 
To view the billing, click on view button on My Account section in NivioCentre. In the Billing Section, you can view how much you have paid for the applications, storage and options that you are using. You can also check your estimated total and your Nivio Credit Balance.
 
Package :
Nivio provides a base package. It includes Nivio Desktop and 5GB of storage space. You can use this base package as free trial for a period of 30 days. After your trial period has expired, you'll need to use Nivio Credits to buy the base package and any additional paid content.
When you add an application to your account, the way it will affect your bill will depend upon the date of the billing cycle. If you add an application on any day during the first half of a month you have to pay for the entire month, irrespective of the date on which you add the application.
 
Any removal of application will only take place at the end of the month / end of the current billing cycle. Second condition, is that, if you add an application on any day during the second half of a month before the billing cycle date of that month.
 
Then the application will be free for you for remaining days, however, the application needs to be pre-paid for, for the next month. Any removal of application will only take place at the end of next billing cycle.
 
Current Month's Invoice
Total amount of Nivio Credits you spent for the current month, till date.
  Base Package - the cost of your basic Nivio subscription, including access to free applications and 5GB of storage space.
  Additional Content - the cost of additional storage, paid applications, and any Nivio Options you have enabled on your account. The full breakdown appears in the main window of the Billing section.
  Total - the total amount that you have paid so far for the current month (this month).
 
Next Month
The Estimated Total is the amount you would have to pay at the start of your next billing cycle if you don't make any changes to your current paid content.
 
Your current Nivio Credit balance is shown below next month's estimated total. If your current balance is less than your estimated total, you'll need to top up your credit balance by the date of your next bill to keep your account live.
 
Nivio Credits are the currency used within entire Nivio Community. Nivio Credits can be used to pay for your base package (after your trial has expired), adding applications and for storage space.
 
Nivio Credits have a direct exchange rate to the local currency in any country. We have decided to do it this way to insulate you from seeing any increase in costs based on currency fluctuations.
 
 
To add credits, click the top-up now button in My Account Page / billing section. There are two ways to add Nivio Credits:
Through Credit Card :
You can add Nivio Credits by using your Credit Card. You need to confirm the amount in credits. After confirmation, view how much money you will be paying for the Nivio Credits in the respective currency. You will be redirected to ICICI Bank Payment Gate way, where you have to fill in your Credit Card details.
 
Through Top-up Voucher :
Adding Nivio Credits to your account using a Top-up Voucher.
 
Top-up Voucher can be purchased from Nivio Resellers. Top-up your Nivio Account electronically with a value that suits your needs by using a top-up voucher. Voucher consists of 16 digit numeric code with a validity of 365 days. Top-up Voucher Number needs to be entered in the Voucher Details Page. Depending on the validity of the voucher, the amount will be credited to your Nivio account.
 
NivioCentre comes with a shop interface. Click on the shop tab for browsing / searching and adding applications.
 
 
Nivio Shop provides a platform from where you can search the applications.
Search Application :
Search for the application you are looking for in the search box. Type the name of application in the search box, if the first three letters match with the first three letters of the application name in the application list of Nivio, a drop down list comes mentioning all applications starting with those three initial letters. Select the application you require from drop down list. You will be redirected to Application Details page for adding an application. If you want to add more applications, follow the same procedure of search application.
 
Request an application :
If you don't find the application you're looking for, a request application link will appear to the right of the search box. You can request the application by providing certain details like - Application Name, Vendor Name and the Version Number. This will help the support team to provide that application as soon as possible.
 
Browse by Category :
Browse for the application from within the main categories. If you are aware of the category under which the application falls, you can directly go to the specific category and select the respective application. You will be redirected to Application Details page for adding the application.
 
Top Application :
Nivio gives you a functionality of Browsing for the top application(s) used by the entire Nivio user community sorted by week, month and on the entire time basis. Select an application from the list of top applications. You will be redirected to Application Details page for adding the application.
 
New Application :
every time Nivio uploads a new application. It will show on the Nivio Shop page, which will help to update you and to use the latest applications. Select new application from Nivio shop. You will be redirected to Application Details page for adding the application. The newly added applications will appear in programs at the start menu of your Nivio Desktop and in your application centre.
 
Nivio provides three types of applications for the users.
 
Free Applications :
As the name suggests, these applications are free of cost. Use free applications by clicking on add to basket and checkout button in application details page. Click buy now button in order summary page to add free application.
 
Trial Applications :
Nivio gives an opportunity to you for trying some of the applications for a period of 30 days. After 30 days trial application will be converted to paid application. On application details page click on try application and then on checkout button to proceed to order summary page where you have to click on buy now button for adding the application.
 
You can convert the trial application to paid application in the term period of 30 days by clicking on convert button on application center page. It will take you to the application details page and the rest is same as that of trial application.
 
Paid Applications :
You have to pay to use these applications. Buy paid applications by clicking on add to basket and checkout button in application details page. After clicking on checkout button, you can view Order Summary page which shows the new monthly total and the days that are remaining after which the new billing cycle will generate. Click on Buy Now button for adding the applications. You can view your total, spent and Balance Nivio Credits.
 
Click on add to basket button for checkout process. After clicking on checkout button, you see the Order Summary page which shows the new monthly total and the days which are remaining after which the new billing cycle will generate the invoice.
 
Then click on Buy Now button to add the application. You will see your total, spent and Balance Nivio Credits. If you see that there are less Nivio Credits in your account to add applications, use Top-up process in My Account section to add credits to your Nivio account.
 
Converting Trial Application :
Nivio gives an opportunity to you for trying some of the applications for a period of 30 days.
After 30 days, trial application will be converted to paid application. On application details page click on try application and then on checkout button to proceed to order summary page where you have to click on buy now button for adding the application.
You can convert the trial application to paid application in the duration of 30 days by clicking on convert button on application center page. It will take you to the application details page and the rest is same that for trial application.
 
Removing an Application :
Under My Account section, click on add / remove application for the removal of application. Application Centre Page shows installed applications in your account. Click Remove link for removing the application. Edit option is given for editing shopping basket, where you can remove the application before the checkout process.
 
It is the holding place for digital data. Storage means a repository that retains its content. Nivio provides a space of 5 GB within your base package.
If you want to increase / add the space depending on your requirements / usage click on manage storage then in packages click on add now button and check out button to view order summary page. Click on buy now to add storage.
 
 
When you add storage space to your account, the billing cycle starts from the day you add it, irrespective of the date of the month, whether it came in the first half or in the second half. Any removal of the customer's storage space will only take place at the end of the current billing cycle.
At the start of the next billing cycle, you have to pre-pay for the entirety of that billing cycle. As before, any removal of storage only takes place at the end of the new billing cycle.
