On logging onto Nivio, the user can view his/her desktop, just as it is on his/her home computer. Most users like to customize their desktop with wall paper & screen savers, use of Quick Launch or Icons over the screen, this ability is disabled at the moment but soon users will be able to do this.

Due to constraints in streaming technology, streaming Video is not always as smooth as we would like. We are working to develop a fix for this.
Since gaming requires a complete refresh of the screen in terms of graphics, Gaming can seem a little disjointed.
Printers are fine as we can detect what you have but we are working with Nivio to enable users to use their other functionality.

The Niviocentre functionality is very similar to that of the control panel in the start menu on windows XP. The Niviocentre allows a user to manage storage & manage applications from their Nivio experience.
New services can be added to the Nivio desktop via the Niviocentre and are paid for on a 30 day subscription from point of order.
Changes made through the NivoCentre will take effect immediately. Typically if you encounter problems simply log off & log back in again & the changes will take effect.
The user can request a trial of software. The software icon will appear on the desktop for 30 days. After this period the user gets the options to continue with the service. If so the billing is altered to reflect the change. After a user has had a trial for 30 days they are not permitted to have another trial.

NivioSync is an application that allows a user to upload & download data between their local machine & Nivio. The application has been developed by Nivio.
If users decide to use NivioSync then when they are logged into Nivio it checks the offline folders & if there are any changes to this folder that have taken place since the last login then: (1)the additional folders are added to Nivio (2)the files that have been removed from the offline file are removed from Nivio.(They are removed from the backup after 24 hours)
Files that had been deleted in error will be held in a different folder.
All files can be uploaded to and downloaded from Nivio, however if we find that the file has a virus we will not allow you to open it within Nivio.

Nivio has a dedicated support infrastructure based in India which offers email based support. Our development team usually can be found on our forums, to answer any general questions about Nivio.
Emails & forum posts are responded to by the Nivio team made up of developers and systems engineers plus a general support desk when it gets busy.
Ultimately we aim to have a 24x7x365 support structure but this will only be possible once we have enough customers to warrant the cost. (We are a start up after all) But given that we are simply replicating the desktop we don't expect that may support calls. Currently a Nivio technician will answer all emails within 24Hours.
